Happy 4th of July

Big training day. PRs for both myself and Dominick. I knew it was gonna be a good day this morning when I woke up weighing 221 and my shoulder felt perfect. Backing off a little from upper body and moving my grip back in on the bench has made all the difference.

  1. Good work. How do u like the sling shot? What specifically is its purpose? I know to overload, but could u get the same affect with a forced (hands on) rep?

    • I’ve used it a few times and I love it…it serves several purposes. If your elbows or shoulders are banged up it allows you to train with more weight while staying healthy. Also, it does give u a rebound on the bottom but you still have to lockout so u can do lockout work at heavier weight. It also doesn’t hurt to feel heavier weight in your hands to build confidence…I think it’s definitely worth what it costs if you’re thinking of buying one.
